Must Have Passive Income Resources

c6884f62d0044b8e837ef1e24c60c2e2.A passive income is an income stream where you get paid month after month without having to put in a huge effort. Now this does not mean it is a quick way to earn money. In fact it means that you get paid on work you have done weeks or months ago.

Basically it boils down to doing the work once and getting paid repeatedly. If you are still unclear compare it to renting out a room to someone and getting paid over and over. You only rented the room once, but you get paid multiple times.

One of the best ways to create a passive income stream is to become an affiliate marketer. An affiliate marketer promotes products with specific links. You then get paid when someone clicks on this link and performs an action, usually to make a purchase of a product.

As an affiliate marketer you spend time creating blog posts, articles, product reviews and emailing your list. All of these actions create long term links all over the internet for you, just waiting to be found.

Important Tip #1: Only Share What You Truly Love

The best selling and promoting (what I like to call ‘cheerleading’) happens when I’m sharing the goods, services, and people I truly think are rockstars. People know when they’re being pitched to. Be genuine in your sharing of products and information. You should, of course, disclose that you’re an affiliate, but more important is to be selective. If you only promote and share information, products, and programs that you’re genuinely digging and can confidently stand behind, your readers will trust you and your recommendations. This also means to be selective about when and what you choose to promote. It really needs to make sense and be in line through and through with the content you create.

Important Tip #2:Realize that passive income isn’t 100% passive.

Yep, that means that you still have to “DO” something–put some ACTION to what it is that you desire to accomplish so that like the gas in a car, it will move forward. Many people are attracted to the passive income models because they believe that they’re similar to hitting the lottery. I personally work with my clients on setting realistic goals and implementing strategies that tie into what they’re already doing. This makes it easier to keep it an actionable item on the daily “To Do” list.

Over time, as people search online for information, your site pops up. The person visits your site, loves what they see and clicks on your affiliate link. The end result is that you generate an affiliate commission.

So even though you may have written that first post in January, it is now April and you are still earning money. Do you see the beauty of creating a passive income stream with affiliate marketing?
This is also the reason why not all affiliate marketers make money in their first week or month. It takes time for the search engines to find your site and display it in the search results. But as your site earns more Google love you will see an increase in visitors and sales.

Which is why experienced affiliate marketers love this business model. Yes it does take time to set up a site, create content for it and market it. Once you have done this you will start to reap the rewards of your hard work, over and over again.

Once you have one site that is making money regularly you may want to set up a brand new one. This way you can repeat the process and generate additional commissions. Don’t neglect your first site as you always want to continue adding new content, this is what will attract the search engines to you. Just keep duplicating this process and watch your affiliate earnings rise.
