Facebook Ad Secrets You Wish You Knew A Year Ago

Okay, so you're on the Facebook advertising bandwagon. You recognize how important it is to you overall online marketing strategy. But for some reason, you haven't quite cracked the code, and you desperately want to figure out what you are missing, so you can increase your ROI (or create an ROI in the first place).

Frankly, Facebook's ad platform is so sophisticated, that it tends to overwhelm lots of small business owners and marketers. So they skip over the intelligent targeting elements, and stick to the simple and more obvious pieces. And that's fine. But if you are looking to move beyond the basics, check out these secrets to getting you further faster.

Secret #1 Create Your Facebook Marketing Campaign from an email List

Facebook gives you the ability to create custom advertising audiences based on your email list(s). You just need to create a txt or csv file. Then you just take that file and click Audience, select Create Audience, and then choose Custom Audience. Now click Customer List and then upload your email list. Plus you can also upload a phone number list to target through your

Facebook ads. How does this help? Well for one thing, the more places your prospects and customers on your list see you, the more likely they are to (re)engage with you.

Secret #2 Test Different Bid Strategies

Bid strategies influence just how successful your Facebook ads will be. There are 3 key categories for bidding:

1. Cost per thousand impressions

2. Cost per click

3. Conversion optimization

You need to test various bidding methods to learn which will reduce your cost per conversion while getting the volume you need. Start with CPC (cost per click). To set up your bidding method go to Ad Set Level and choose bid type. When you use the conversion optimizer or bid per click you will determine what your maximum cost per click is going to be or your target cost per acquisition. You can also let Facebook select a value for you, which can relieve you of the burden, and might actually identify a better price. But testing it out for yourself is probably a good place to start.

Secret #3 Schedule Your Ads

Facebook lets you segment your ads by hours and days, if you choose lifetime budget. It isn't available with daily budget. This is why businesses seldom use this feature. Lifetime budget is the total budget of your ad set and it does not have a daily limit. If there is no established performance pattern for the campaign that already has a proven track record this is not a setting you want to play with. If you want to set up day/hour parting go to Budget and Schedule under

Ad Set, then choose scheduling for your ad.

Secret #4 Test and Tweak

Imagine running ads in your local newspaper, and being able to see which ones are providing the best responses and which ones are not… within just a few hours of the paper going to print.

Now, obviously, that doesn't happen. But on Facebook you have the ability to Monitor your ads realtime. And that means it's easier to test and adjust every single ad campaign you run on the spot. Very few small business marketers ever consider this option and end up wasting a lot of money and time based on the premise that Facebook advertising is just like traditional newspaper or billboard advertising. But now you know better.

Bonus Secret

Getting started with Fасеbооk ads іѕ іnсrеdіblу fast аnd ѕіmрlе. In fact you can have аn ad саmраіgn up аnd runnіng іn no time tо ѕtаrt gеnеrаtіng rеvеnuе.

But ads aren’t the only way to build your business presence on Facebook. There are several other ways, and this free report, will outline 5 major options for getting more customers and making more sales using Facebook.
