Every week, for a couple of years, I host a Google Hangout discussion inside my Facebook Fan Page. Some weeks I did totally live events, with an audience who were there watching and able to ask questions, share comments, etc. Other weeks, I would simply embed a pre-recorded video.
For me, hosting live online events is old hat. I first came across the platform in which my Hangouts are hosted, 22 Social, back in 2013. At that time, I was working with a direct marketing company, and several of the leaders in the sales organization were using this tool to recruit and train team members.
As I later learned, hosting live events inside these 22 Social apps (that's what they are called) is only the tip of the iceberg for what they can actually do (GET THE FULL DETAILS ON WHAT ELSE YOU CAN USE 22 SOCIAL FOR HERE).
But, for now, let's get back to hosting Hangouts inside Facebook. To do so, it's actually pretty darn simple.
WHAT YOU NEED:
• A Facebook Account with a Fan Page
• A YouTube Account
STEP ONE:
Create your 22 Social App – If it's your first time doing this, not to worry, it's amazingly simple, and there are a ton of prefabricated app templates you can use if you're not ready to start one from scratch.
STEP TWO:
Create a YouTube “Live Event,” which (at the moment) is synonymous with “Google Hangout.”

STEP THREE:
Select the URL of the live streaming video's YouTube Page from the lower right hand corner of the Hangout broadcast window, and copy it to your clipboard.

STEP FOUR:
Past the YouTube page URL inside the Media section of your 22 Social app (it also accepts many other media types – see it's not just for broadcasting Hangouts!

Imagine the different ways you could use this in your organization or business. You could run webinars, host virtual trainings and business meetings, protect the content with a paygate or lead capture gate, and lots more.
For me, the combination of 22 Social and Google Hangouts has helped me build my audience, increase my authority in my field, and develop a great community of followers. Plus, because I've chosen to host a weekly event, I get to talk with all sorts of fascinating guests as well.
How could you incorporate these tools into your business?
