5 Essential Online Resources I Use Daily In My Business

Almost every day, I'm asked about some element on my website or Facebook page. The question goes something like: “how'd you do that?” or “where did you learn that?”

Fortunately, I like to be really transparent about my business. So I'm more than happy to answer these questions.

Actually, in the spirit of full transparency, my business model is built heavily on recommending solutions for which I'm compensated with a commission when someone makes a purchase. But it would be totally disingenuous for me to recommend things I've not vetted or that I don't use myself.

So here, in no particular order, are some of the resources and tools I use on almost a daily basis in my business (along with affiliate links, if you want to learn more about any of them).

1. 22 Social

I use this Facebook App to help build my email list, host webinars, protect paid content, and even run raffles (and that's just a fraction of what it's capable of doing). SET UP YOUR FREE 22 SOCIAL APP HERE

2. NAMS – the Novice to Advanced Marketing System

Back in the spring of 2014, I was fumbling around the internet knowing too much for my own good, but with no real clue how to organize all my knowledge and structure my business more efficiently. Then I met David Perdew and his NAMS community… and the clarity I needed in my online business suddenly appeared. It was not coincidence. A great way to get started with NAMS is to take the NAMS MARKETING ASSESSMENT

3. Likeable Local

I'm asked regularly about managing social media for clients and other businesses in my area. Frankly, as a Facebook Ads specialist, it's not exactly what I do. So I've worked hard to find social media outsourcing solutions that meet my standards – which includes having systems in place to generate new and repeat business from social media efforts.

And what I've found out there has disappointed me greatly. Most social media management solutions overcharge and under deliver. And so, I've stuck to recommending DIY social content tools, which, along with a little coaching from me, are often better solutions than outsourcing.

But for those who really need to outsource this service, I like to recommend the Pro Service from Likeable Local, which does 90% of the heavy lifting for local businesses, and has a few tricks up its sleeve to ensure that your content is seen and gets engagement. In my opinion, Likeable Local undercharges and over delivers. LEARN MORE ABOUT LIKEABLE

4. Speed Blogging

This post was actually created using this super cool platform that enables me to produce list posts and curate content for my readers from all over the web. CHECK IT OUT HERE

5. Jeff Herring's Templates

Creating content, for many of us, doesn't come naturally. At least not at first. But when you have a model in place – one that's been proven to be effective – that's a different story.

I call Jeff Herring the Dean of Content Creation. He's helped thousands of students structure and formulate everything from blog posts and articles, to Kindle books and courses. And he makes it look easy… which, once you see his templates and systems, you'll discover it is (or can be – it still requires practice).

Jeff's signature course is called Profitable Content Creation Templates. Pretty self explanatory. It's among the best investments I've ever made in my business. CHECK OUT JEFF'S COURSE HERE

That's it for now. There are plenty more things I'd love to share with you, but these are the essentials.  You can always find plenty more over on my resources page.
